KPJ’s main corporate social responsibility platform is channelled through the Klinik Waqaf An-Nur (KWAN) programme, whereby KPJ is able to give back to the less fortunate in society, through the provision of medical and clinic managerial services.

In total there are eight outpatient charity clinics with dialysis centres located in Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang and Batu Pahat in Johor, Seremban in Negeri Sembilan and, the most recent in Ijok open in November 2007 manage by Selangor Medical Center.

With the success of KWAN and the growing needs of the community, KPJ has established the first Hospital Waqaf An-Nur in Pasir Gudang, which was officially opened by His Highness Tunku Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Sultan Iskandar Alhaj, the Tengku Mahkota Johor, in April 2006.


KPJ’s staff and Medical Consultants actively participate in the KWAN programme and in other organisations, such as the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM), the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), Dewan Perniagaan Islam Malaysia (DPIM) as well as other various professional bodies, associations and societies.
