Worked in Ministry of Health (MOH) as house officer, medical officer and consultant specialist over 25 years. During that period, was involved in training HOS and Registrars, teaching post-basic neonatal nurses and being an examiner in post-basic neonatal nursing exams. Also gave input in MOH public sector programmes eg. breast feeding, childhood immunization. Took optional retirement in 1996.
Joined KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital as
one of the pioneer paediatricians. Currently practicing general paediatrics and
low-risk neonatal care. Occasionally gives lectures to nurses when called upon.
Also holds chair in the hospital ethics committee and a member of central level
ethics committee.
