    Dr Mohammad Iqbal understands and value the importance research plays in the NHS. He had formal training as a specialist register in the North Trent Deanery in Critical Appraisal, Research Methodologies and Statistics.
    Listed below are research projects that he have been involved in thus far :

    Continuous EEG monitoring for the preterm infant :
    Development of software for continuous electroencephalography
    monitoring in preterm newborn babies.

    A randomised controlled trial comparing two methods of ETT
    length estimation in premature babies.

    Elective project at the Department of Paediatrics, University Malaya Titled
    “The relationship between childhood asthma & maternal risk factors
    in an ethnically diverse population."

    Physical activity and bone mass development in children and adolescent.

    EXTUBATE trial – Extubation to nascal CPAP compared to bi-level pressure CPAP.

    ADEPT trial – early versus delayed enterenal feeding for babies born
    with absent or reversed end-diastolic "low and growth restriction".

    TOBY study – total body hypothermia in perinatal ashyxia.

    Randomised study comparing the efficacy of bolus vs continuos nanogistric
    feeling in the paediatric intensive care

    INIS study - Immunoglobulin in neonatal sepsis
