Dato’ Dr. Hj. Fadzli Cheah Abdullah commenced his practice in KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital in January 1990 as a Resident Consultant Neurosurgeon and since February 2007 until 2017, he is the Medical Director of KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital. He was a Medical Officer in the Department of Surgery of University Hospital Kuala Lumpur from year 1977 to 1980. He had his Neurosurgery Training at Institute of Neurosciences, Southern General Hospital, Glasgow. He was a Head of Neurosurgery Unit of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia from year 1985 to 1989. He was also an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery Unit and Visiting Consultant Neurosurgeon of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. On top of that, he was the Honorary Lecturer of University Sains Malaysia (2002-2007) and the Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh (2003-2009). He has served as a Chairman of the Neurosurgery Specialty Committee of National Specialist Registry, Ministry of Health Malaysia (2005-2010). He was a Reviewer for Malaysian Medical Journal of Malaysian Medical Association and Malaysian Journal Medical Science. He was also the Honorary professor of Universiti Sains Malaysia. He involved in many societies and associations namely Society of British Neurological Surgeon, Asean Neurological Society, Malaysian Society of Neurosciences, neurosurgical Association Malaysia, to name a few. On top of all his experiences in medical line, he has also actively involved in many non-governmental organisations such as Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA), Persekutuan Seruan Islam Perak, Board of Visitors of Taman Seri Puteri, Batu Gajah, to name a few.
