Patient Care
Our Admission office is located at the 2nd Floor,Inpatient Block. Appointments for admission are made during your visit to the consultant’s clinic. Planned admissions can be made through Admission Counter at the 2nd Floor,Inpatient Block from 8.00 am till 6.00 pm. Emergency admissions are made through the A&E Service at 2nd Floor,Inpatient Block. Admissions made after office hours (after 6.00 pm), during weekends, and on public holidays will be handled at the A&E Service.
Other than emergency cases, appointments for admission are made during your visit to the Consultant's Clinic.
You are encouraged to do pre-admission at least 48 hours prior to your admission, at the Admissions Suite (Room 55). During this process, you will be briefed by our Admissions Clerk on admission matters, your bed reservation, estimated total hospitalization cost, deposit requirements and any pertinent matters to expedite your admission process.
You are required to be admitted at least a day before your surgery in order for assessment by Anaesthetist. On the day of admission, please proceed to the Admission Suite (Room 55) for registration and payment of deposit. Laboratory tests or investigation procedures may be carried out prior to admission to the ward. Once registration is completed, our staff will escort you to your room.
All admissions require an initial deposit. (Please refer to Charge Rates Section).
If the initial deposit is depleted before discharge, a further top-up of deposit may be required.
Identity Card or Passport or Birth Certificate
A Guarantor is required for all personal admissions. The guarantor must be financially secured and aged between 21-55 years old. Identity Card or Passport is also needed.
Employer's Letter of Guarantee is required for employees whose company has credit facility with KPJ Johor.
Valuables and Excessive Cash
If you have such items on your admission, DO NOT KEEP them in your room.
Please hand them over to your relative to bring them home or to the ward staff for safe-keeping.
If You Are Having Surgery
You are required to sign a Consent Form before the surgery. If blood transfusion is needed in the course of the operation,
arrangements will be made with the Blood Bank, Laboratory Department, to have it replaced by suitable donors.
If you are a member of a managed care organization, you are also required to sign a Consent Form authorizing the Hospital
to release medical information to the relevant organization for settlement of your inpatient bill.
