Everyone 6 months and older is recommended to get an annual influenza vaccine, including healthy adults.  The influenza vaccine is especially important for people at high risk of getting other health problems from the flu.  This includes:

1.  People who are age 65 or older.

2.  People with long-term (chronic) diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and lung disease, including asthma.
