Dr. Chan Siew Hong graduated with MBBS from University Malaya in 1999. He did his housemanship and early surgical training in Sarawak General Hospital, obtaining his MRCS (UK) in 2003 and then Masters of General Surgery (University Malaya) in 2007. He served as a General Surgeon in Miri Hospital in 2008 before starting urology training in 2009.

Dr Chan trained in urology in Hospital Sultanah Aminah JB, Institute Urology and Nephrology Kuala Lumpur, Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore and Sarawak General Hospital and obtained his FRCS (Urology) and Malaysian Board of Urology certificate in 2012.

He has served as a Consultant Urologist in Sarawak General Hospital since 2013. While having a special interest in surgery for urethral strictures, he is also comfortable in other urology subspecialties such as uro-oncology, endo-urology, laparoscopy and andrology. He is currently a member of the MUA and SIU as well as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
