    Endoscopy Unit

    The Endoscopy Unit is located on Level 2, which is also home to 4 daycare beds. With a team of highly trained consultants, you can receive a clearer picture of what is going on inside via the below procedures:

    Gastroscopy / Oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGDS)

    Examine the oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum for any pathology and perform procedures such as biopsy and stopping bleeding.


    Colonoscopy

    Examine the rectum and colon for any pathology and perform the biopsy, remove polyps and stop bleeding, etc.


    The Benefit of an Endoscopy

    Do you need an endoscopy? If you are suffering from a digestive problem, our consultants (doctors) may recommend an endoscopy. An endoscopy is a medical procedure used to examine a person's gastrointestinal tract. Our consultant uses an endoscope, which is a thin tube with a camera and light attached to it, to view photos of your gastrointestinal tract on a monitor or TV. Here are 5 benefits of endoscopy:
