Biographical Sketch:

Dr Norafidah is a resident Obstetricians and Gynaecologist in KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital. Her career began as a House officer in Queen Elizabeth Hospital back in 2005. Her journey into the care of women blossomed during her years of service as a Medical Officer in Hospital Duchess of Kent, Sandakan. She obtained her post graduate qualification from the prestigious University of Malaya, whilst continuing her training in Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-kanak Sabah. Throughout her years of practice, she has gained vast experience in dealing with a wide variety and complexity of cases. Her current practice includes the care of pregnant women from conception to delivery as well as the post-natal period. Her other capabilities include management of infertile couples, urogynaecological problems as well as gynaeoncology cases. She is also no stranger in the operating rooms, capable of performing surgeries both conventionally and laparoscopically. During her service in the government sector her role extended to include that as administrator as well as trainer to the junior doctors and midwifes. Aside from her dedication to women’s health, this multitalented doctor is also a passionate marathon runner, a soulful singer and an avid scuba diver in her spare time.
