Born in Seremban but raised in Sabah, Dr Vivekanandan A/L T. R. Rajasekharan obtained his medical degree from Bangalore University, Karnataka India in 1994. In 2001 he obtained his diploma in palliative medicine in the University Of Wales College Of Medicine in the United Kingdom. He completed his Medical impairment Assessor Course in National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia. And in 2010 he was certificated in Occupational Medicine Malaysian Society of Health Physicians.In 1998 he was stationed as a Medical Officer in Lahad Datu Hospital until 2004 covering all specialities which include O & G, Surgical Specialities, Medical and Paediatrics. After that he was transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kota Kinabalu to be the Medical Officer for the departments of Orthopaedics rotations through Neurosurgery and Paediatric surgery in 2004 until 2009. In 2010 he was the Medical Officer in charge in Medisinar Klinik & Surgery at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.He is a Life member of Malaysia Medical Association, Academy of occupational and Environmental medicine and member of Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia.He was certified as Medical Review officer and Assistant Medical Review officer. Other than that, he was also certified in Train the Trainer and Training Management for Business and certified in Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support (BLS).Dr Vivekanandan was also approved in Medical Marine Department of Malaysia.With a score of workshop and conference attended, He also took his open water certificate through Professional Association of Diving Instructors (P.A.D.I) in 2001. Advance Open Water Diver in 2003 and finally a Rescue Diver in 2004 also with P.A.D.I. Today he is with KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital.
