An experienced Consultant General Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive, metabolic and bariatric surgery. His clinical interests include laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, hernia repair, colorectal surgery and the management of complex abdominal surgical conditions. He holds an MBBS from Universiti Malaya, a Master of Surgery from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopy in General Surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France. He completed fellowship training in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery in Pune, India, with further training in Bangkok and Taiwan. His clinical experience includes Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Hospital Teluk Intan and private medical centres in Malaysia. Committed to medical education, Dr Harnavindeep has taught UiTM and UKM medical students, facilitated laparoscopic surgery workshops and led the Nutrition Therapy Team at Hospital Teluk Intan. He received service awards in 2021 and 2023 and has presented surgical research and clinical cases at professional meetings. His practice focuses on minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive care for patients with obesity.
