Dato' Dr. Mazlam Mohd Zawawi is a Consultant Physician specialising in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MB, BCh, BAO) from the National University of Ireland in 1982, together with the Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland (LRCP & SI). He subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 1987, Doctor of Medicine (MD) from University College Dublin in 1993, and Fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow and London.

With extensive experience in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dato' Dr. Mazlam Mohd Zawawi has been practising at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital since December 1998. Prior to joining the hospital, he served as a Professor and Consultant Physician in Gastroenterology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where he also served as Head of the Department of Medicine.

Dato' Dr. Mazlam Mohd Zawawi has developed extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. His clinical interests include luminal gastroenterology and liver diseases, and he has contributed to the advancement of Gastroenterology and Hepatology through his clinical, academic and professional work. He has also been involved in professional organisations within the field, including the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

He is committed to providing comprehensive and patient-centred care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver conditions, drawing on his extensive clinical and academic experience to support accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and long-term management.
