    Platinum Award Recipient for Medical Tourism (together with KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital)

    The Kuala Lumpur Mayor’s Tourism Awards is a programme that is designed to identify the select few who shine brighter than their peers. It is a programme that celebrates excellence in service culture. It is a programme that gives due recognition to the crème de la crème of Kuala Lumpur’s tourism industry.

    This award has recognised us as the most outstanding healthcare and medical service provider in Kuala Lumpur. Our centre had maintain best quality and safe practices in the treatment and care management of travelling international patients. We also been evaluate by determining our overall facilities, level of service, operations and marketing activities.

    Malaysia Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) 1st Edition Dental Accreditation

    KPJ Tawakkal – Dental Specialist Centre is successfully being the first awarded in Malaysia for four year dental accreditation for MSQH (1st Edition) in September 2018. MSQH is dedicated to develop these standards for the accreditation of dental ambulatory care centre and dental clinics registered under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 based on the core principles of safe dental practice, patient safety and the provision of high quality services in dental clinics.

    The goal is to provide safe and high quality dental services that is recognised internationally. The Dental Clinic Standards were developed with collaboration between the Ministry of Health Malaysia (Oral Health Division), the Ministry of Defence Malaysia (Dental Service Division), and professional organisations representing the dental profession i.e. Malaysian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS), Malaysian Association of Paediatric Dentistry (MAPD), Malaysian Association of Orthodontists (MAO), Malaysian Endodontic Society (MES), Malaysian Dental Association (MDA), Malaysian Oral Implant Association (MOIA), Malaysian Private Dentist Practitioners’ Association (MPDPA) and Malaysian Society of Periodontology (MSP).

    Development of these standards were based on existing standards from the United Kingdom (UKAS) and Australia (Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare – NSQHS Standards Guide for Dental Practices and Services).

    The development of these standards followed the principles and philosophies of the ISQua Accreditation Federation Council (5th Edition 2014)

    The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) strives to enhance access to Malaysian healthcare services, for the benefit of both health travellers as well as Malaysian private healthcare facilities.

    A one-stop centre for the healthcare travel industry, for the promotion, business development, facilitation, networking, regulation and manage all enquiries on healthcare travel in Malaysia. As part of our effort to promote Malaysia Healthcare globally, we work closely with industry stakeholders, particularly the private Malaysian healthcare institutions.

    The MHTC Partnership Programme recognises healthcare facilities that provide exemplary service to international patients, where members are screened by stringent criteria – in both, healthcare and supporting services – for participation in the Programme. A certificate of registration with the MHTC is given by the Minister of Health Malaysia.
